We are so excited for our next Improvaneer Method session with Directors Rachel Berlan and Nick Doyle in Akron, OH! Hosted at Weathervane Theater, this group has been improvising together since 2019 but is always welcoming new troupe members! If you are looking to build community, increase your communication skills, and have some fun then this is the class for you!

Meet Director Rachel Berlan!

Hey everyone! My name is Rachel Berlan, and I am excited to be joining the Improveneers as a director! I am new to this role and looking forward to getting to know all of the participants and families. This truly is an incredible program and I feel lucky to be a part of it.

I graduated from Malone University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and have been in the special education field for 12 years now. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of ages and abilities! One of the things I am most excited about in this new position is the chance to be goofy, creative and have fun while building meaningful connections with participants.

Outside of work, I have been married to my husband Ray for almost 8 years now and am a mom of 2 little girls who keep life busy and fun. I love all things outdoors- gardening, hiking, biking, boating, camping and tending to our 15 chickens.

I am so excited to be a part of the improveneers community and can’t wait for all the fun ahead!

Meet Assistant Director Nick Doyle!

Certified Online/In Person Director

Nick Doyle is from Canton, OH and has become a vital part of the success of The Improvaneer Method. Nick is an original cast member and quickly establish himself as the ‘big brother’ and leader of the troupe. Through his dedication to the craft, he quickly became a standout performer. In 2019, Nick joined Rob as a board member of his non-profit, Stand Up For Downs. He also joined the board of GiGi’s Playhouse Canton.

Nick serves as an Assistant Director for Online and Live Improvaneer Method classes, as well as a Sales Associate helping promote and sell programs at conferences nationally. He also continues performing with The Original Improvaneers around the country. He is currently performing a one man show called “Unleashing The Big Dog” around the country. Nick’s hobbies include bringing joy to everything that comes into his path.
