Joe was certified in 2023, and has been an amazing addition to our team. He brings years of improv experience to the table and is dedicated to providing everyone with the same class experience no matter their ability!
Director De’Vonte Perry
Certified Live/Online Director through the DSA of Maryland!
De’vonte was certified in 2022 and is a major reason for the success of our online programming!
His passion and dedication to Improvaneers and their growth is incredible and we are so grateful to have him on the team!
Director Bridget England
Certified Online/In-Person Director
Bridget is currently leading a troupe of Improvaneers in North Canton, Ohio at Walsh University!
She is a force and has poured her time, energy and passion into make her troupe an amazing class to join!
We can’t wait to see what Bridget continues to bring to the team!
Director Derick Cox
Certified Online/Live Director
Derick was certified in 2022 and has brought his talents The Improvaneer Method in so many ways!
He’s directed live classes at BGSU, online classes through our Improv For All and partner organization classes. He even helped plan and direct an improv camp at Easterseals in Hilliard, OH!
Derick plans to move to Chicago soon to pursue a career in comedy!
Director Lily Langen

Lily is a comedian living in Toronto, ON. She’s been directing classes with IM since 2024.
Lily currently leads Improv For All online classes, as well as many of our partner organization online classes!
She is an amazing addition to our directing team!
Director Maggie Bisesi

Maggie is one of THE original Directors of The Improvaneer Method! She has been with us since the beginning and we are so excited to welcome her back to directing after stepping away in 2022!
Maggie is currently leading our live class in Independence at the DSA of Ne Ohio!
Director Lia McMillan

Lia is a newly certified director taking over our classes at Bowling Green University!
Lia McMillan is a student at Bowling Green University majoring in Product and Service Design with an emphasis on Accessibility and minoring in Entrepreneurship with a focus on Social Enterprises!

Director Emily Elma
Certified Live Director
Emily is an Improv Cincinnati Graduate and collaborates and performs with Alphas Comedy, an all-woman Cincinnati-based sketch and improv comedy group. Co-Creator and trainer of the continuing education, No Joke: The Serious Use of Improv in Healthcare, Emily has taught colleagues and caregivers about the beauty and practical implications of using improv with the geriatric population and those with dementia diagnoses. Joining versus combatting one’s narrative can be life altering! In her non-improv adventures, she’s a Licensed Independent Social Worker, who enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants and has been known to break into spontaneous dance, particularly in the aisles of Home Depot.
Director Kelly Gruber
Certified Live Director
Kelly is the Managing Director at Improv Cincinnati, and is an improvisational performer. She is a co-founder of the Improv Leadership Summit, a national conference that brought together leadership teams from improv theatres around the world. Her strength is creating safe communities where people feel heard, respected, and valued. She's certified in the "Improvaneer Method" and also has practiced biofield therapy, craniosacral therapy and equine therapy. Kelly has two children and lives in the Clifton gaslight neighborhood.
